Have we met?
Thinking about sharing your life with a greyhound? We’re here to support you on your journey, from offering advice and busting myths, to matching you with your four-legged soulmate.
When a greyhound wants to get to know you, they’ll often put their nose in your hand.
It tells them a lot about who you are. It’s our job to put the right noses into the right hands.
It’s as simple – and as wonderful – as that.
Who we are
We’re a campaign dedicated to retired greyhound adoption and we represent 100 accredited greyhound homing centres across the UK.
We’re not a greyhound rescue centre, or a rehoming centre. We don’t represent greyhound racing syndicates, breeders or kennels.
When you welcome a greyhound into your home, you are joining a big family of greyhound fans who can support you throughout your adoption journey.
What we do
We’ll connect you with people you can trust to find, not just any dog, but your dog. The personality that fits yours. The perfect companion for your family. The gentle soul you can’t imagine life without.
They’re out there, somewhere. And we know where to look.
Why we do it
There are currently around 2,000 retired greyhounds looking for their forever family in the UK every year, including greyhounds of all sizes, ages and colours. Their careers are shorter than you think, so they have many years of love to give once they’ve hung up their racing jackets – and humans don’t know what they’re missing. We’re here to help remedy that.
Bred to race. Born to be loved.
Kind, loving, calm and a little goofy, at around three to four years old, retired greyhounds are younger than they sound and much, much cuddlier than you think. They’ve enjoyed their time on the track, but now they’re looking for a home and a family to call their own.
But don’t just take our word for it. If you’re wondering about life with a greyhound, our greyhound adoption stories might help fill in some gaps.
“Hey
humans, slow down…”
“I can reach 45mph, but prefer
the sofa”
Who we work with
You might have noticed there are a lot of different rehoming centres, local greyhound rescue centres and greyhound charities right across the UK – there might be one right under your nose! We only partner with dedicated, accredited greyhound homing centres, who meet the highest welfare standards, as set by the official regulatory body, the Greyhound Board of Great Britain.
Because finding your greyhound should always start with complete peace of mind.
